This class is great for thinking on your feet, ridding yourself of the fear of public speaking, gaining memorization skills, writing skills, and learning how to focus under pressure all the while learning about current events that you might not otherwise know about- great for making interesting conversation and helps you to feel much more connected to the world. The student has 30 minutes to prepare a 7-minute speech that they also memorize in that prep time frame. This is an excellent way to improve analytical thinking, extemporaneous speaking skills, memorization skills, persuasive skills, quick research, and public speaking skills. You will be presenting your speech in front of the other students in each class, and you will become very comfortable doing so. This class is designed to help you organize your thoughts and express yourself while interpreting what you have read. You will feel powerful and appreciated. These are all transferable skills that will help you be a confident presenter.
Tuition does not include competition costs.
